Project Description

The Fanshawe College Innovation Village project involved extensive renovations and additions to Blocks L and F, as well as the Student Union Building, including the creation of a new main entrance to Block L. The completed facility spans 187,000 sq. ft. and provides a dynamic, collaborative environment for students and staff.

The new academic complex features modern classrooms, an event hall, support spaces, student lounges, study areas, and an ancillary building housing essential service and storage rooms. Designed with innovation and sustainability in mind, the project integrates advanced building systems and energy-efficient infrastructure throughout.

The result is a forward-thinking educational hub that embodies Fanshawe College’s commitment to innovation, sustainability, and student experience.

Electrical Scope

  • Installation of rooftop and building-integrated photovoltaic systems for renewable energy generation.
  • Supply and installation of dry-type and harmonic mitigating transformers for efficient power distribution.
  • Comprehensive lighting, power generation, and electrical systems to support the building’s academic and event functions.

Mechanical Scope

  • Complete HVAC and plumbing systems installation to support new and renovated spaces.
  • High-performance mechanical design to ensure occupant comfort and optimized building performance.
