Brockville Hospital

A 175,000 sq. ft. hospital expansion delivering new inpatient beds and advanced mechanical and electrical systems designed for LEED Silver performance and uninterrupted patient care.

Project Description

The project involved a major redevelopment to consolidate operations onto the Charles Street campus, including the construction of a four-storey addition of approximately 175,000 sq ft and about 20,000 sq ft of renovation.

The new “Donald B. Green Tower” provides 93 additional inpatient beds and supports expanded rehabilitation, palliative care, complex continuing care and mental health and addictions services. The facility is designed with sustainability in mind and was built to meet LEED Silver standards.

Electrical Scope

  • Complete power distribution systems including emergency power, UPS and essential circuits for critical care units.
  • Lighting and lighting controls throughout new wings and renovated areas to meet operational and energy-efficiency targets.
  • Systems integration and coordination with mechanical systems, communications infrastructure and life-safety requirements.

Mechanical Scope

  • Full installation of HVAC systems tailored for hospital-grade performance including ventilation, chilled water, heating and integrated controls.
  • Plumbing and medical gas piping systems supporting new inpatient, mental health and rehabilitation units.
  • Coordination of equipment commissioning and building services integration to support uninterrupted healthcare operations.
